Chai Latte

Ingredients   

2 cups water

2 black tea bags

2 whole cloves

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/2 tsp ground cardamom

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1/2 tsp allspice

2 Tbl maple syrup

3/4 cup whole milk

Instructions:

  1. Bring water and spices to a boil and turn off the heat; allow to steep for  5 minutes

  2. Turn the heat back on and add tea bags and maple syrup. Once boiling, turn off the heat and steep for 5 minutes

  3. Remove tea bags and strain through a mesh strainer. 

  4. Bring milk to a slight boil.

  5. Remove from heat and use an handheld latte blender to blend the milk until frothy

  6. Slowly add the frothy milk to the tea mixture. Enjoy!

  7. Store tea (before milk is added) in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks
