Tartufo

Ingredients:

2 types of ice cream

cookie only part of a sandwich cookie, crushed

brandied cherries

Instructions:

  1. Crush cookies and set aside

  2. Take the ice cream for the middle of tartufo and place a cherry in the center, shaping into a small ball. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in freezer.

  3. Once frozen, take the second ice cream flavor and form the outer layer of the ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in freezer.

  4. Remove and roll in cookie crumbs. Wrap in plastic warp and keep in airtight container in the freezer until ready to serve.

Note: For a bigger visual effect, choose two ice creams with different colors. I used strawberry but it was very light in color so it blended in a little too much with the vanilla.
