Sauteed Veggies

Ingredients:

green beans or snap peas

olive oil

butter

Optional: soy sauce, crispy bacon bits, toasted bread crumbs, French onions, toasted sesame seeds...

Instructions:

Toast sesame seeds in fry pan or oven; set aside for later

For Beans:

  1. Crisp up bacon bits and transfer to paper towel. 

  2. Blanch beans by cooking in hot water for a few minutes and transfer to ice water to stop the cooking process.

  3. Heat up some olive oil  and butter over medium-high heat and saute beans until al dente - do not over cook. 

  4. Add a small amount of soy sauce at the end.

  5. Top with sesame seeds and bacon.

For Peas:

  1. Saute peas in olive oil  and butter over medium-high heat. Peas will be ready after just a few minutes - do not overcook

  2. Toss with a small amount of soy sauce and sesame seeds
