Pulled Pork
Instructions

Mix onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper in bowl. Rub onto pork and place in slow cooker on low for 7 to 8 hours.

Remove pork and let rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Using two forks, pull the pork apart.
PULLED PORK (For all recipes below)
Ingredients:
5# boneless pork butt or shoulder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp fresh ground pepper
2 tsp salt

NAKED PULLED PORK
Ingredients:
pulled pork (see above)
Optional: flour to thicken juice

HAWAIIAN PULLED PORK
Ingredients:
pulled pork (see above)
4 oz crushed pineapple
1/4 cup hoisen sauce
2 tbl honey
2 tbl soy sauce
2 tbl rice wine vinegar
hawaiian buns
Optional: fresh pineapple rings and your favorite slaw

BBQ PULLED PORK
Ingredients:
pulled pork (see above)
BBQ sauce (recipe here)

For Naked Pulled Pork:​

Remove juices from slow cooker and skim off the fat.

Return juice and shredded pork to slow cooker and keep on low for at least another hour.

If you want a thicker sauce: before returning pork to the slow cooker - whisk 1/2 cup of cooled pork juice with 1 tbl of flour, then whisk into remaining juice in the slow cooker. Then add pork.
For Hawaiian Pulled Pork:

Remove juices from slow cooker and skim off the fat.

Save 2 cups of juice; add to that the crushed pineapple, hoisen, honey, soy sauce and rice wine vinegar.

Return pulled pork and juice mixture back into the slow cooker and cook on low for at least one hour.

If you are using pineapple rings, grill them for 4 to 5 minutes per side. You can use them as garnish or put them on the bottom bun before stacking your sandwich.

Serve pork on bun topped with slaw.
For BBQ Pulled Pork:

Returned shredded pork to the slow cooker with your BBQ sauce. Heat through and serve.
