Brown Nut Bread

Ingredients: 

2 cups whole wheat flour

2 cups sour milk

1 1/2 cups white flour

1 cup chopped nuts

half cup of molasses

half cup of sugar

1 teaspoon soda

1 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Combine both flours and salt and set aside.

  2. Add soda to sour milk and let it foam.

  3. Beat molasses and sugar until well combined.

  4. Add flour and milk alternately, mixing well with each addition.

  5. Mix in nuts.

  6. Bake at 300 degrees for 60 to 75 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
