Naan

Ingredients:

1 pkg active dry yeast

1 tsp sugar

1/2 cup warm water

2 1/4 cup flour

1/2 cup plain yogurt

1 T oil

Instructions:

  1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let set for several minutes.

  2. Put four on clean smooth surface and make a well in the middle. Add yeast, yogurt, and oil to the well. Knead the dough until smooth and let rest until double in size.

  3. Divide the dough into 8 sections. Roll into thin pieces.

  4. Add oil and butter to a cast iron pan and fry each piece until the dough rises and fills the middle part of the naan with an air pocket.

  5. It’s done when dark blisters appear.
