Apple Galette

Ingredients for Apple filling:

store bought pie crust

apples 

flour

sugar

cinnamon

butter

Ingredients for crumble topping:

2 tbl brown sugar

2 tbl flour

2 tbl oatmeal

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

2 tbl soft butter

Instructions:

  1. Bring crust up to room temperature

  2. Peel and cut apples into thin slices

  3. Coat apples with a liberal amount of flour, sugar and cinnamon

  4. Sprinkle crust with flour and lay apples in the center of the crust leaving at least 4 inches around the edge.

  5. Sprinkle with more sugar and top with chunks of butter

  6. Combine all ingredients for crumble topping in a bowl

  7. Top with crumble topping and bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown
