Ingredients:

4 eggs

2 cups sugar

6 T melted butter

2 cups buttermilk

2 tsp vanilla

6 cups flour; plus at least another 2 cups kneaded in

½ tsp nutmeg

2 tsp baking soda

2 tsp baking powder

 

Instructions:

1.    Beat eggs well and add sugar

2.    Add vanilla and butter.

3.    Alternately mix in flour and buttermilk 

4.    Mix in flour until it is like bread dough.

5.    Roll to ½ inch in thickness; cut and deep fry
