Cheesy Tomato Toast


french loaf

mozzarella cheese

parmesan, freshly grated

red pepper flakes

garlic powder

olive oil

plum tomato


  1. Add some garlic powder to olive oil.

  2. Cut bread into 3/4 inch slices, brush on garlic oil and place under the broiler until lightly browned.

  3. Remove, flip over and top the 'unbrowned side' with mozzarella and red pepper flakes, place back under the broiler until lightly melted.

  4. Add a slice of tomato and sprinkle with the parmesan; back under the broiler until cheese is melted and edges are browned.

  5. Finish with sea salt and freshly ground pepper.
