Beef & Veggies

Ingredients:

1 lb tri tip steak 

1 tbl toasted sesame seeds

1/4 lb snow peas

4 carrots, cut into bite size pcs

rice or chow mein noodles for serving

 

Marinade:

3 scallions chopped

2 tsp rice wine vinegar

2 tbl water

2 tbl sugar

1tsp black pepper

2 gloves garlic, minced

1 inch of fresh ginger, chop in 4 pcs

1 tbl sesame oil

3 tbl soy sauce

Instructions:

  1. Place steak in freezer for about an hour to partially freeze. It will make slicing the steak easier.

  2. Combine ingredients for marinade. 

  3. Cut steak into thin strips and put into marinade on the counter for 30 minutes.

  4. Partially cook carrots then add them to a hot pan with snow peas and 1/4 cup water. Drizzle with soy sauce right at the end. Set aside.

  5. In another pan (or on a grill) cook steak on med-high heat for just one minute on each side. Toss in veggies and toasted sesame seeds.

  6. Serve over prepared rice or chow mein noodles.
